Early on during my time in New York, I was looking for a leather bag I couldn't seem to find. Something simple, functional, beautifully made, with nothing unnecessary added. There was no shortage of bags in the city, just not quite the one I had in mind. So I decided to make my own, teaching myself leatherwork in my Brooklyn apartment along the way. A few years later, in 2012, I launched my label.

My background in architecture still influences the way I design. I'm drawn to clear shapes, thoughtful proportions, and the relationship between form and function. Every seam, every strap, every fastening has to earn its place. Often, the most interesting part of the design process is figuring out what can be left out.

Materials matter just as much. I work with vegetable-tanned leather from Germany, chosen for the way it ages. It softens with use, deepens in color, and slowly takes on the marks of the life it’s carried through. I want to make the things you reach for every day, the ones that become more yours the longer you have them.

After six years in New York, I moved to Munich, where I've been based since 2014. At my studio near Kolumbusplatz, I design and make leather bags and accessories, alongside a jewelry collection that also traces its beginnings back to New York. Made from recycled gold and silver, the jewelry reflects the same approach to design: a balance of simplicity, strong shapes, and an appreciation for materials and craftsmanship.
